Composed by Engelbert Humperdinck. Arranged by Edmund Morgan. Opera,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 15 pages. Edmund Laurence Morgan #2991501. Published by Edmund Laurence Morgan (A0.976681).

Sandmännchen & Evening Prayer is a short extract from Engelbert Humperdinck's opera Hänsel und Gretel. It depicts the visit of the Sandmännchen (the sleep fairy) who has come to put Hansel & Gretel to sleep. Just before they fall asleep Gretel reminds Hansel that they mustn't forget to sing a prayer before they sleep - the famous evening prayer first heard in the opera's overture. This arrangement is for Brass Quintet.
