Taylor Swift's influence on pop culture is undeniable, so here's a fun arrangement of her hit Mean that your high school, college, or even advanced middle school choir will love! Starting off with with a smooth, legato first verse, it then launches into into the familiar country/bluegrass groove that made the song a hit. For SATB voices, soloist, soli, and vocal percussion (a.k.a. BeatBox), this arrangement is accessible for the intermediate choir, but with lots of opportunities for your advanced groups, too! You can even make it into an SSAB arrangement by having treble voices sing the tenor part! It captures the spirit of the original, but with just enough variation to keep things interesting. Your Swifties will be glad you chose this arrangement. If you like this arrangement, you can find more of my work on Noteflight Marketplace, Sheet Music Direct, and Sheet Music Plus. Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 4 - SKU: A0.844248 Composed by Ray Conniff. Arranged by Gerhard Guter. A Cappella. 14 pages. Gerhard Guter #4302845. Published by Gerhard Guter (A0.844248). Voicing: SATB a cappella, with rhythm section (piano, electric bass, drums) Style: Bossa Nova This arrangement of Ray Conniff's Favorite Theme from Rachmaninoff's Second Piano Concerto will bring to mind the writing style of Clare Fischer for his 2+2 vocal groups. Though still a challenge, especially with the optional vocal soli, this Conniff-themed edition has been adapted from a more difficult version previously performed by Vocalogy on their 2005 Distilled release. The piece opens with a pulsating rhythm section figure as pianist, bassist, and drummer enter one by one. The wonderful moments of tension have been maintained beneath Rachmaninoff's soaringly romantic melody, and the wordless vocal provides an ethereal quality. With the optional soli, this is an Advanced level arrangement. There is room for improvising regardless of whether or not the soli is performed and, with no soli, this is an Advanced Intermediate arrangement. Included individual piano, bass, and drum parts play from individual parts with chord symbols, slashes, and rhythmic notation. Drums alternate between brushes and sticks. Electric bass is preferred, but acoustic bass works. Backing tracks available from: http://tiny.cc/mpnsuz Nightfall

Choral Choir (Mixed) - SKU: A0.1012176 Composed by Duncan Krummel. 20th Century,Contemporary,Graduation. Octavo. 8 pages. Krummel Music Publishing #3629763. Published by Krummel Music Publishing (A0.1012176). Nightfall is for SSAATB and piano. The text, by Sara Teasdale, explores loss and acceptance. As such, it is an appropriate accompaniment to events such as graduation, retirement, or personal loss. Commissioned by director John Spiezio III of the Paul D. Schreiber High School Choir, the work is written to be performed by an intermediate to advanced intermediate choir, with an emphasis on strong female singers. The piano accompaniment is intermediate to advanced, and better suited to larger hands (though appropriate modifications can always be made by the performer). The music is around 5 minutes long, and offers choirs the opportunity to discuss text painting and symbolism. Duncan Krummel is a member of ASCAP. Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1225384 By Chris Tomlin. By Chris Tomlin, John Newton, Louie Giglio, and Traditional American Melody. Arranged by Dan Garrett. Christian,Contemporary,Sacred,Spiritual. Octavo. 11 pages. Daniel Garrett #821460. Published by Daniel Garrett (A0.1225384). This contemporary SATB divisi with piano arrangement provides much of the sound of today's professional a cappella renditions, but in a more approachable format for moderately advanced to advanced high school, church and community choirs. Written 250 years ago, the poetry and music of Amazing Grace make it one of the most recognizable and beloved hymns of all time. In 2006, Chris Tomlin was asked to provide the title composition for the movie, Amazing Grace, a docudrama about William Wilberforce's efforts in Parliament to end the British transatlantic slave trade. Inspired by the movie's subject, Tomlin added a powerful refrain, My Chains Are Gone, and a transcendent new verse. Refrain: My chains are gone, I've been set free, My God, my Savior has ransomed me. And like a flood, His mercy reigns. Unending love, Amazing Grace. Verse: The Earth shall soon dissolve like snow, The sun forbear to shine, But God, Who called me here below, Will be forever mine.
