The Carl Martin PlexiTone, is as the name might indicate an unusual high gain three step rocket of an overdrive. The PlexiTone offers two step overdrive, the crunch channel and the high gain channel, on top of that it gives you an up to 20dB clean boost channel. The crunch channel goes from subtle overdrive to hard rock gain stage, the high gain channel goes from rock gain stages to absolutely meltdown, with loads of gain and low end, and all in a tone that brings the memory back to the early 80's high gain guitar hero's. Main source of the present editions is the manuscript by Manuel M. Ponce, kept in the Manuel M. Ponce Archive, located in the Cuicamatini library of the Facultad de Música de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. The preludes were composed around 1929 after the invitation of Segovia who, urged by the publishers to write a method, asked Ponce to compose some short pieces to include in this didactic project. In April 1930 Segovia published only 12 preludes with Schott publishing house. Many of Ponceâ??s manuscripts remained unknown for a long time, until 1977, when the Mexican guitarist and musicologist Miguel Alcázar, thanks to the collaboration of Carlos Vázquez, pupil and heir of Manuel Ponceâ??s manuscripts, began an important recovery of Ponceâ??s guitar music by preparing the first complete edition of the preludes.

Introducing the Marsling Octafuzzdrive – a pedal as distinctive as its sound. The Beings at IAM take a modern spin on the discontinued '70s era fOXX, enhanced with two interstellar modifications. First, the octave-up effect is now at your feet, offering on-the-fly versatility with a footswitch. Additionally, a tone control toggle switch has been incorporated, empowering players to select from three unique tonal profiles. The Marsling stands out as the epitome of versatility within the Interstellar galaxy. The Marsling Octafuzzdrive is a recreation of the fOXX Tone Machine, first released in 1971 and discontinued in 1978. The Tone Machine is a thick fuzz that uses a phase spliter and complementary rectifier to create an octave overtone. The Tone Machine has a lot in common with the Fender Blender, but with a more pronounced octave and smoother tone, as well as the ability to disable the octave by turning off half of the phase splitter. And the tone is not unlike the Superfuzz, although it uses a different method of octave generation to get there. The Marsling is faithful to the original, but with two added modifications. First, the octave switch for octave up is on a footswitch for on and off capabilities instead of a toggle switch. The second modification is the tone control. The tone control of the original is somewhat similar to the Big Muff, but many people find it's difficult to get good sounds from the treble side of the rotation. By increasing the value of the treble-side tone capacitor, it improves the usability. A switch has been added to let you choose between two different capacitors in addition to the original.

Thanks to Stefano Grondona, this unknown and unedited transcription by Tárrega in G major of Albéniz' Cádiz, known widely as the Célebre Serenata Española has just been identified in a manuscript copied by Miguel Llobet, probably while he was still Tárrega's pupil. This beautiful and subtle transcription is not overcomplicated to play, Tárrega did not try to do everything, as some later transcribers have attempted to do. The melody sings and the accompaniment is subtly always there. The tuning with 5th string to G, and 6th to D, is no hindrance - on the contrary it is a boon. We are not aware of any published version of this work in G major, and this particular version has never been published until now. We are delighted to make it available for the first time in a new scholarly edition prepared from Llobet's meticulously accurate manuscript, a copy of which is reproduced in the edition.
