Klavierauszug-Antonio Vivaldi's Magnificat in G minor for SATB and Piano.The office as a priest and the long years as musical director of the Ospedale della Piet (a large orphonage in Venice) both occasioned and inspired him to compose church music in large variety. The Magnificat RV 160 has come down to us in two versions. The first version is dominated by the choral concept in the second version the texts of Et exultavit Quia respexit Quia fecit Esurientes and Sicut locutus est are each given new and extended solo arias that as the manuscripts reveals were tailored to voices of girls from the Ospedale who are mentioned by name in the autograph.

c-Moll-Mozart's Missa in C for SATB.The Mass in C minor K. 427 Mozart's 'Great Mass' remaines a torso - a circumstance which is extremely regrettable especially given the monumentality of this work. Mozart finished only the Kyrie Gloria Sanctus 'Osanna' and Benedictus of the Mass. For two movements from the Credo he only completed sketches without instrumentation. In March 1785 Mozart arranged Kyrie and Gloria supplemented by a tenor and a soprano aria for the Italian oratorio 'Davide penitente'. In his arrangement of the Mass in c minor Richard Maunder added Creed wind and brass instruments to the Credo sketches.

Par REGER MAX. Die Drei Chören (The Three Choirs) op. 6 are hardly mentioned in the young Reger's correspondence. The only meaningful reference is Reger's announcement to his London publisher George Augener on August 1, 1892: 'I will send the choruses op. 6 ? which your son liked very much ? to you tomorrow morning [...]'. George Augener had spent five weeks from undergoing treatment in Wiesbaden and had met on this occasion not only Hugo Riemann but also his 'favorite pupil' Reger. After the publication, the Allgemeine Musik-Zeitung remarked on the 'entirely Brahmsian character to the work'. It praised its polyphonic structure and its'romantic chiaroscuro [...], the effect of which the accompanying piano knows how to exalt excellently'.
