Editor: Eppel, Henner Anton Bernhard Fürstenau, der Sohn des ebenfalls bekannten Flötisten Kaspar Fürstenau, wurde 1792 in Münster geboren. Seinen ersten Flötenunterricht erhielt er beim Vater, bereits mit sieben Jahren hatte er seinen ersten öffentlichen Auftritt, und im Alter von 12 Jahren wurde er ordentliches Mitglied der Oldenburgischen Hofkapelle! Nach langen Jahren, ausgefüllt mit großen Konzertreisen durch ganz Europa, ließ er sich 1820 in Dresden nieder, wo zu der Zeit auch Carl Maria von Weber wirkte. A. B. Fürstenau starb in Dresden im Jahr 1852. Der Text zu der Romanze Liebesruf stammt von dem Dresdner Schauspieler Hans-Georg Kriete und gewidmet ist sie dessen Ehefrau Henriette Kriete-Wüst, Kammersängerin in Dresden. Diese Neuausgabe, die sich auf die Erstausgabe bei Adolph Fürstner stützt, erweitert unsere Serie von Arien mit Flötenbegleitung, eine von Barock bis Romantik beliebte Besetzung, da der Klang der Flöte so schön mit der Singstimme harmoniert.
