Hey there! I'm Rick van Veldhuizen and I am a young composer. Since I'm 6 years old, I play the piano, I started out playing the most ugly pieces in the most ugly way, but I made a giant leap from bad to good amateur, when I was 12. Since then, I also started composing, and my piano skills have bettered a lot. I admire Debussy, Ravel, Poulenc, Messiaen, Bernstein, Elfman and Sondheim greatly, and I love dark themes. My first work was the Aristocrat Rhapsody (which has been through like a 1000 changes), and started going more impressionist-modern. Since 2008, I also sing and play the clarinet. On-line as from now: Baroque Suite, German Rondo Writed on 2009-05-31 by Rick Van Veldhuizen It's been quite a while,
but now I have added some
scores again: Baroque Suite
op. 11, a suite which combines
baroque elements with
neo-classist elements. The
suite consists of 4 movements:
a menuet, a guigue-scherzo, an
air and a saraband, written
for harpsichord. The second is
the German Rondo, Op. 12, a
piece in a 'quasi
Schumann'-style which I
have written a year and a half
ago, which shows a trip
through Germany.
Maybe in a few weeks I'll
upload the String Quartet op.
14 and the Concert Piece op.
