Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov Russie Nikolai Andreyevich Rimsky-Korsakov (Russian: Николай Андреевич Римский-Корсаков, Nikolaj Andreevič Rimskij-Korsakov), also Nikolay, Nicolai, and Rimsky-Korsakoff, (March 6/18, 1844 – June 8/21, 1908) was a Russian composer, one of five Russian composers known as The Five, and was later a teacher of harmony and orchestration. He is particularly noted for a predilection for folk and fairy-tale subjects, and for his extraordinary skill in orchestration, which may have been influenced by his synesthesia. Global Interest : Skill level : I LOVE the right hand, it's one of the few brilliant pieces based on the chromatic scale. The left hand chords are great if you can do them fast enough.

Global Interest : Skill level : I so agree with fred! Don't call this song easy cause unless you are playing the flute part, it is actually quite hard. Im betting that everyone who said its easy really has never tried to play the piano part. Good luck haha. Its a great song, and don't give up!

Global Interest : Skill level : I see people saying this piece is simple. typical internet dreamers. Very few Panists have the skills necessary to play this piece full speed, except maybe accomplished concert pianists. I was called a prodigy at age 10, but that was because of what I could do out of my head, by ear, and a certain amount of inventiveness and a lot of originality. I have written my own music all my life, and I am 56.
However, sightreading was always like algebra and physics to me. Even atfer taking piano for 6 years, I was never a good sightreader, and it evoked a lot of pain and resignation in me. To compensate, I took off on my own, by ear. I admire anyone who can skillfilly read and play the flight of the bumblebee. Perhaps if I had a supervisor to help me, ad started off playing it VERY SLOWLY, I could build my speed up after LEARNING the damned thing. As it is, it evokes a very deep sense of sadness, resignation, and failure in me. Mind you, I worship anyone who can play this piece.
It makes me want to eat cyanide. Also, I resent notes that are 6 miles above the staff. I have to stop and figure them out, and it takes a part of my soul away. Chopin\'s Fantasy is another high speed thriller that makes me want to fling myself off a cliff.
In conclusion, please don\'t say this song is \"simple, easy, and beginner,\" because you sound like one of those born again fakes who lies about his/her spirituality.
Your comments are obvious prevarications, in most cases, and you rub salt in my wounds.
A case in point. Look above at Kristi saying the flight of the bumblebee was the first piece she played as a beginner.
Kristi, I met a rock guitarist who once said \"Well, I never considered myself to be a guitarist, but I\'m not gonna let that stop me.\" That is exactly who I am as a lifelong piano player, not necessarily a pianist........but your arrogance, Kristi, and your obvious mendacity evokes the one thing that keeps me playing.......my pride.
I once saw a Liberace TV christmas special, and he was playing all 88 keys a trillion miles per hour with both hands, and somehow the melody of jingle bells was emerging. No way can I do that, and I worship anyone who can. Tell me THAT WAS YOUR FIRST PIECE TOO, KRISTI!
I CLOSE THIS LETTER IN DEEP PAIN, BUT NO ONE\'S GONNA TAKE ME AWAY FROM ME. I AM A PIANO PLAYER, AND EVEN IF I CAN\'T DO WHAT OTHERS CAN, I ASSURE YOU NO ONE CAN TOUCH ME. NOT EVEN YOU, KRISTI.
WILL YOU MARRY ME?
.....FRED INSTEAD, THE ULTIMATE FRED.
