John Francis Wade (1711 - August 16, 1786) was an English hymnist. He is supposed to have written and composed the song Adeste Fideles (also known as O Come All Ye Faithful).
Either born in England or in Douay, France, Wade fled to France after the Second Jacobite rising was crushed. As a Catholic layman, he lived with exiled English Catholics in France for the rest of his life. There, he taught music and worked on church music for private use.

Interest : Skill level : I love this song and page. I
play calrinet and alto sax but
because i am now in an
appartment I can not practice
them. The recorder gives me
similar practice as the
clarinet so that is what i now
play as well as a electric
piano(synthisizer). I have
been looking for recorder
music for a long time with no
success until. Thank you so
much
P.S. to respond to one comment
about getting what key the
song is you can do what I do,
which is just open it to take
a look and then afterthat i
decide whether to download or
not.
